Ok!

Pa-remind sa Champaca ng double-Geom sched natin sa Monday, 10:50-11:40am at 2:30-3:20pm. Quiz at 10:50am. Ty! :-)

Some Sched Adjustments

LT2 will now be on
February 28, 2011, Monday for Champaca and Ilang, and
March 1, 2011, Tuesday for Camia, Dahlia, and Rosal.

Also, Champaca’s Make-Up Period will be on Monday, February 21, 2011, 12:50-1:40pm (your old ValEd sched). Yep, we’ll have double-Geom that day since we won’t meet on Thursday-Friday, February 24-25 ;-)

To Camia, Dahlia, Ilang, and Rosal

Those with incorrect answers to Problem Solving # 10, bring your hearts tomorrow, there might be a correction. Thank you! :-)

Practice Exercises

  1. In isosceles Right Triangle ABC, Segment BE is a median and AC = 10. What is the area of Triangle ABC?
  2. The diagonals of a rhombus have lengths 8 and 10. What is the area of the rhombus?
  3. Quadrilateral ABCD is an isosceles trapezoid. If AB = 8, CD = 12, and the area of Quadrilateral ABCD is 50, what is the area of Triangle ABC?

yeahdahlia asked: Ma'am, bakit di ka na nagpopost??? I'm sad :((((

Sorry, been busy :( (Pati Fb ko nga rin, idle na :-/) Will try to be active again soon :)

I almost forgot that Geom Queen has a tumblr…

Some reminders for the YMSAT Exhibit:

  • For minimum haggardness, you may work on Saturday, provided you file an activity permit (Approach me so I can sign it) ASAP. The SSD doesn’t require Parent’s Consent anymore since it’s card-giving and PTC day. (Disclaimer: Second-hand info, check with the SSD when you file to be sure.)
  • The floor is part of the exhibit. Make good use of it.
  • Careful with posting on the wall. Make sure that whatever you post doesn’t fall easily, and make sure that whatever you use for posting is not difficult to remove (Double-sided tapes are deadly).
  • Each mural’s design should be under the theme “Science and Technology: Our Life, Our Future”.
  • The pieces that make up the mural’s design should all be quadrilaterals (The more consistent, the better the effect).
  • This requirement is 7.5% of your grade. You will be graded both as a group and as a class. (Your contributions/participation will also be noted.)
  • Mural should take up the entire one side of a 1/4 illustration board.
  • When in doubt about anything regarding this project, see/contact me :-)

Best of luck and have fun in working together! ;-)
